When one of my dear friends invited me to his boutique seafood restaurant in the biggest city in the United States, Manhattan, I was amazed the quality of meal and appreciated his passion for creating divine food and becoming a chef. However, even though his location is on one of the central streets in Manhattan, the small space was shading his quality of food. I then came up with the idea to enlarge his small restaurant “Dardanel” by creating wall murals all around the restaurant for the illusion of more space. At first, he was skeptical that it wouldn't work, but when I proposed my design and opened up all walls to the sea like the entire restaurant was sailing, he was thrilled. He accepted, and the result was beyond his expectation. .
